Viscose is the oldest man-made fiber (first produced in the 19th century). In fact, it is an absolute cellulose, which makes it the most natural fiber in comparison with other man-made ones. Production process can result in shiny or matt fibers and by changing the thickness of the fiber one can succeed similarity with cotton, silk, linen or wool.

Viscose wool is very smooth, nice and soft, it is not prickly and absorbs the moisture better than the cotton. It is also noted for a beautiful intensive gloss.

Form of issuance is staple fiber and multifilament yarn (longitudinally bonded fibers).

Viscose is highly hygroscopic, thermal and light resistant, it can be easily and evenly dyed or mixed with other fibers, it is not electrifiable and is not afraid of moth. The fiber does not irritate sensitive skin and gives coolness.

Viscose can be combined with wool, linen, cotton, natural silk. The content of viscose in the mixed yarn is usually not higher than 20-30%. Viscose provides yarn with softness and gives a nice shine, without derogating its natural qualities. Especially good viscose can be combined with cotton. With this yarn you can knit beautiful lightweight dresses, tops, skirts, blouses that have a shimmering shine and are nice to the skin, providing coolness in the summer heat. One of the indisputable advantages of viscose is its affordable price.

Quite often acryl, merino and mohair yarn as well as synthetic yarns are produced with the addition of viscose fiber. Needlewomen are impressed by noble shine, quality and reliability of this yarn as well as with possibility to knit stylish and unique clothes.
